Nestled on the edge of enchanting woodland with forest streams, this delightful cottage is a true country escape with creature comforts for both humans and their faithful four-pawed companions. With an enclosed, south-facing garden and summertime access to a pool, it’s the perfect spot for couples, families or friends looking to unwind with their tail-wagging travellers in tow.
Part of a 17th-century Grade II-listed house, the cottage has its own private entrance. Step through the porch and into a bright, open-plan living space brimming with rustic charm. Original beams, a crackling open fire and comfortable sofas make for a warm, welcoming base after long walks. The kitchen is kitted out for hearty home meals, while the adjoining dining area offers views over the garden. A utility room just outside is handy for drying off mud-loving mutts or stashing sandy gear. Upstairs, two spacious king-size bedrooms promise a restful night's sleep. Soft lighting, floral touches and pretty artwork make each room feel like a home from home. A bathroom with tub and shower completes the picture. Across the driveway is your own secure, south-facing garden for safe scampering and al fresco dinners. A patio with outdoor furniture makes it easy to relax while your hound roams free on the lawn. There’s even a warm outdoor shower for muddy paws and a stash of dog cushions in the porch. Between 10am and 12 noon and 5.30pm and 7.30pm, from June to September (weather permitting), you’re also invited to enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool, tucked away in a beautiful walled garden. Ample off-street parking is provided too.
