Perfect for large family gatherings and for groups of friends marking a special occasion, this stunning lodge enjoys a tranquil location in the popular coastal village of Bembridge. Ideally situated along the eastern edge of the Isle of Wight, the beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated residence offers fantastic holiday accommodation for up to 18 guests across both the impressive main house and the cheerful annexe. There’s also ample space for three canine guests to come along for a well-earned break. Featuring a welcoming wood burner, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and beautiful gardens for your pets to explore, this magnificent hideaway lies just 250 metres from a gorgeous pet-friendly beach.

The ground floor of this superb property boasts several lovely main living spaces, including a cosy lounge, a smart dining room, a welcoming reception hall and a stylish kitchen with a sweet breakfast room. There’s also a ground-floor shower room and bedroom, with an additional mezzanine bedroom within the roof space. A central staircase goes up to the galleried first-floor landing leading to a bathroom and four beautifully decorated bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities. Also onsite is a charming annexe for six guests, with a conservatory, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and three bedrooms (one en-suite). The extensive exterior offers a swimming pool with a furnished terrace, as well as private gardens, an oak-posted wraparound veranda and charming lawns with plenty of space for the dogs to play. Ample parking is available.

The picturesque village of Bembridge has a wealth of great places to eat and drink, many of them pet-friendly, as well as a lovely dog-welcoming beach just a mile from the property. Dogs are welcome at nearby beaches such as Yaverland, St Helens and Whitecliff Bay, all within 4 miles. Culver Down (4 miles) provides an idyllic dog-walking spot.

I cannot rate this property highly enough. Inside was clean, comfortable & very well appointed. Stunning kitchen with top of the range appliances & a fridge/freezer big enough to house a small family. The kids loved the tv/playroom which had plenty of books & toys. Outside was even better! The beautiful garden/pool area was where we spent most of oRead moreur time. Having a heated pool was a luxury we took full advantage of. This property is a real gem. An excellent choice for a big, family holiday. Eleven of us had a wonderful week, admittedly in the best May week ever. Pool is great and well heated to 30C. Kitchen and catering facilities are absolutely beyond expectations. Bathroom are very good too and the whole property was spotless on arrival. Freshfield Lodge (and Woodcut annexe) are both spectacular homes, decorated and furnished to an impressive standard. We had a wonderful week there over Christmas with extended family and would love to return one day during summer months. The location is great: Bembridge is a lovely small village and the stunning beach is a few minutes walk away. Beautiful property and the annex (which is just a smaller second house!) was a great retreat when holidaying as a multi-generational family! we were very lucky to stay there to celebrate a family members milestone birthday!

Our family throughly enjoyed their week at this property. It had everything we needed. It was very well equipped, and lovely throughout. The pool was a big hit for us all, and the garden too.Also the area was lovely with the beech being just a short walk away. We would definitely come back.
