If your hounds love to run and run, then they’ll have a ball at this handsome rural property, which boasts its own private field. Welcoming two pets plus up to seven humans, it’s a superb home with gorgeous views, set close to a huge sandy beach, the Giant’s Causeway and many of the best sites of the North Antrim coast.

After approaching along the private lane and pulling up in the parking space (there’s ample room for multiple vehicles), head into the impressive kitchen/diner. This huge, airy space has a range-style cooker and a TV, with a breakfast bar for two complementing the long table that seats eight. There’s plenty of room on the tiled floor for dog beds and bowls too. In the gorgeous lounge, comfortable sofas are gathered around a wood burner, and there’s a Smart TV for entertainment. Completing the ground floor, there’s a snug and handy WC. The bedrooms are all on the first floor, with one double boasting an en-suite shower and the others sharing the family bathroom. Head outside for some fresh air on the decking, which can be enclosed with a gate. Enjoy the views, spotting wildlife and sheep in nearby fields, lounge in the sun or play games on the small lawn. The private field that slopes down to the river is a great place for long-legged hounds to burn of excess energy. Another bonus is the garage, which can be used for storing outdoor gear.

This excellent escape is in the village of Bushmills, just 2 miles from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Giant’s Causeway, where dogs on leads are welcome in all outdoor spaces. Stunning Whiterocks Beach is just 3 miles away, welcoming furry friends from mid-September to the end of May.

  • A stream runs along the boundary of the property, from the front to the rear. This can be deep in places and may not be immediately visible—keep an eye on children and pets.
  • Private parking for multiple cars

  • Ring doorbell and external CCTV for security covering the main entrances to the front and rear of the property

Excellent cottage, upgraded to a very high standard. Great location, lovely and quiet, large enclosed garden and near to all the attractions. Bushmills is only 5 minutes away for restaurants, cafe's and groceries. 3 large smart TV's and a great man cave gives everyone space to spread out. Amazing house inside and out....the back terrace and garden down to the river were brilliant for our dog. Inside is huge with loads of seating and a TV in each downstairs room. "Riverside" is a beautiful, spotless property in a gorgeous, tranquil location overlooking the river. It is perfectly located to explore the North Antrim coast and we wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend it.
