Just a mile from Windermere and within a striking Arts and Crafts manor house, this elegant apartment offers a tranquil Lake District escape. Arrive in style via the grand entrance to the main building, then take the stairs to your own front door. A lovely L-shaped sofa sets the scene for laid-back downtime in the open-plan living space. Light and welcoming, the lounge area at one end has a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker so you can unwind in true home-from-home style. To the rear, the kitchen is sleek with all the must-haves for hassle-free meal prep, with a contemporary dining suite where you can chat and plan your next day’s adventures. As bedtime beckons, relocate to your choice of two dream-inducing rooms: a king-size bedroom and a second with a super-king-size bed that, for ultimate flexibility, can be made up as twins instead. Surrounded by mature grounds that are rich in wildlife and offer fabulous views, enjoy leisurely strolls on site or wander a mile into Windermere town and, another mile further, for walks at the lake’s shore. This property is very well appointed and maintained, and it is well positioned in the centre of the south lake district. We had a very comfortable stay and there was lots to do and see within the immediate locality. Lovely apartment, very well equipped, great location and grounds. No outdoor seating and some noisy building work going on during our stay.
