With the Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales National Park within easy reach, this welcoming cottage is the ideal base for walkers, nature lovers and artisans of all kinds eager to experience the near limitless beauty of this corner of northern England. This spacious cottage offers ground-floor facilities, a patio area and outstanding views of the surrounding landscape that will set tails wagging.

The lounge/diner is a light and comfortable area with its own wood burner, perfect for snuggling up to watch a film, planning the day ahead or enjoying a meal by the bay window, prepared in the kitchen next door. The cottage’s double bedroom is just a few short metres away, as is its spacious shower room. The patio area is a spot for al fresco dining and enjoying the views towards Ingleborough and Whernside.

High and Low Bentham, Burton in Lonsdale and Ingleton (all within 5 miles) offer a range of dog-friendly shops, cafes and pubs, with the latter home to an impressive viaduct which serves as a reminder to the area’s industrial past. There are walks aplenty across the Forest of Bowland (3 miles), the picturesque Ingleton Falls welcomes four-pawed visitors, while the hills and fells of the Yorkshire Dales National Park (4 miles) is a real feast for the senses.

I was drawn in by the price quoted and then rather surprised at the extra charge for booking through yourselves when I thought I was booking direct. Also, the cottage name is Gregareth , not as your site says Gragareth.

Cottage as described. Very cosy. Owners very helpful. Enjoyed it so much we stayed a few extra days.
