It’s located by the Llangollen Canal, with tranquil views and close to accessible walking routes that you and your four-legged pals can enjoy.

This property consists of three separate cottages for your exclusive use, the first of which is a daytime hub with a kitchen that’s fully equipped for preparing holiday meals, and a utility room, perfect for storing dog food. There’s a dining room with an open fire and a TV, and a conservatory with comfortable seating where you can relax with your loved ones and pets. Completing this cottage is an accessible WC. Two identical cottages are set nearby, each of which has two fully accessible and wheelchair-friendly bedrooms, one a double and the other a twin. Each bedroom is provided with tea- and coffee-making facilities and a TV. The cottages each have a spacious and accessible wet room too. As for laundry facilities, they’re located in a separate utility building. This tranquil getaway also boasts an outdoor space that your canine pals will love. The gardens, adjacent to the canal, have lovely mature trees and well-kept lawns, and include a brick BBQ, a patio with a picnic bench and wheelchair-friendly seating, and tables for al fresco meals.

Enjoy the public footpaths which connect to the grounds, or hire the accessible canal boat and float along, enjoying the views. For wheelchair users or anyone avoiding strenuous walks, there are well-maintained, level paths around Colemere Country Park, 1 mile away. In Ellesmere, 3 miles away, you’ll find accessible pathways and a seating area from which you can take in the views of the largest mere in North Shropshire.

This is a lovely set of cottages updated to a high standard in a lovely location and the Lyneal Trust volunteers were very helpful and friendly. It is a good place for moderately disabled guests to stay with proper wet room bathrooms and step free access. The narrow boat trip we did with a wheelchair one day was excellent and very good value.

These cottages are fantastic - well equipped, thoughtfully designed and clean. Really good value for money and Lyneal Trust were very flexible on arrangements for number of Carers staying etc. It has enabled me to have a holiday with 2 frail people with dementia. Being dog friendly too means companion pets can come along, so important for familiRead morearity and comfort. The grounds are exceptional and its a wonderful calm space to sit and connect to nature. This entire site is exceptional I know of nowhere else offering this unique blend of benefits. There are quite a lot of comings and goings from Volunteers so thats something to be aware of, but everyone was friendly and kept their distance. The bedrooms are separate to the communal area which means that Carers can get a break but for people with dementia this can be disorientating but easily remedied with tactics that you will be familiar with when helping people with these problems.
