Four-legged friends will leap at the chance of a stay in this spacious, comfortable and family-friendly coastal cottage, which has room for 12 people and two canine companions. A huge, enclosed garden adds to the attraction, and the house is in a perfect location for long runs on sandy beaches, walks on the coast path and explorations of scenic Devon countryside.
In this two-storey, detached property, you’ll find two lounges on the ground floor, both with comfortable seating and one with an open fire. The other has a Smart TV, books and games. There’s also a conservatory – another lovely spot in which to relax. Complementing the kitchen, which is equipped with a range cooker, you’ll find a handy utility, a great place in which to store pet food. There’s a dining table for four in the conservatory, and another that seats eight in the adjacent dining room. Completing the ground floor are a bunk-bed room and two WCs. Head upstairs to find the rest of the bedrooms: a family suite comprising a connecting king-size and bunk-bed room with an en-suite bathroom; a double, a twin and a final bunk-bed room, plus a family bathroom. The wraparound garden is the perfect place for children and pets to let off steam, and for adults, there’s furniture for al fresco dining and a hot tub with lovely views. There’s storage space in the garage, and parking on the driveway for eight cars.
The house is on the north coast of Devon, just 300 metres from Croyde Beach, popular with swimmers, sunbathers and surfers, and dog owners from October to April. In between, you can take your furry pal for a run on the sand dunes just above the beach, or in the extensive Braunton Burrows (park at Sandy Lane car park, 6 miles).
