Sniff out Mortehoe, home to historic cottages, a 13th-century church, a museum and welcoming pubs all surrounded by wonderful scenery. Take a walk on Morte Point and you may see Atlantic grey seals basking on the rocks; to the north, dog-friendly Rockham Bay has a small, secluded beach with rock pools and plenty of sand to play on at low tide. In the opposite direction, the 3-mile sands of Woolacombe are fabulous for ball games, while the village at their edge has shops, cafes and restaurants to satisfy every appetite.
