This pretty stone cottage is the perfect location for a family or friends who want their beloved pets to share a holiday on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. The property sleeps four guests, plus one tailwagger, and is just 200 metres from the dog-friendly beach in Little Haven. Return home from local excursions and light the wood burner to warm chilly toes and paws.
Enter the characterful retreat via the light and spacious open-plan lounge and kitchen. A stylish contemporary sofa offers a comfortable spot to relax before the cosy wood burner, with room for your dog’s bed or blanket, while the country-style kitchen slots neatly to the side. French doors open onto a bright conservatory housing the dining table and overlooking the pretty garden. Upstairs are a family bathroom and two delightful double bedrooms, both with original beams and sloping ceilings. Outside, two steps lead to the sloping lawn with a picnic table. Please supervise children using the garden swing. There is private parking for one car.
Neighbouring Broad Haven, a 0.5-mile stroll away, has a vast expanse of golden sand, perfect for a game of fetch. While dogs are restricted from a section of the beach from May to October, the remainder is free for pets to race across the sand all year round. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path offers walkers amazing views and exciting new smells for busy pups to explore. Well-behaved canines are welcome aboard an hour-long cruise from Martin’s Haven (8.5 miles) around wild Skomer Island, where you may spot puffins, seals and dolphins. Discover a hidden gem at the National Trust’s unspoiled Marloes Sands (7.5 miles), a secluded bay set in dramatic coastal scenery. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under close control.
