Your dog's next adventure starts here. Puppy-approved inside and out, this charming Lake District cottage offers a fantastic base from which to explore the fabulous South Lakes, with walkies on the doorstep and cosy interiors to cuddle up in after each excursion. The stone cottage retains its original character, featuring low, beamed ceilings and a classic country aesthetic. Altogether, the property hosts four guests and one furry friend - an ideal holiday destination for small families or couples looking to get away with man's best friend and enjoy a little extra space to spread out.
Admire the climbing flora on the pretty façade of this traditional cottage before stepping straight into the lounge/diner. This room is warm and welcoming, thanks to the wood burner tucked into the fireplace - an inviting spot for Rover to warm up cold paws. You'll also find soft seating and a Smart TV to keep the humans happy. Continue through to the well-equipped kitchen and out into the garden, a peaceful spot that's enclosed and safe for Rover to roam. Upstairs, discover two bedrooms: a double room and a bunk bedroom accessed through it. The shower room is also on this floor. For added convenience, there's private parking just outside.
Set tails wagging with days out in the Cumbrian countryside. Follow winding footpaths, explore undulating hills and admire wildflowers across the Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve (5 miles), enjoying far-reaching views of the Lake District's fells from the top. Head to Fell Foot at the southern tip of Lake Windermere (6.5 miles), a haven of dog-friendly walks, hikes and games of fetch in picture-perfect surroundings. Alternatively, visit the coast, with the lesser-known gem of Grange-over-Sands just 5.5 miles away.
