Fabulous stay at Fell Foot with our 13 and 8-year-olds and dog. The location is so peaceful, great for nearby walks when all you can hear is sheep, whilst the village of Hawkeshead is only a 15-minute walk away for local shops and pubs (we ate in the Red Lion and used the chip shop), and a short drive to Ambleside or to Bowness via the ferry. The cRead moreottage is spacious, well set up for the children and with an enclosed area for the dog to run around outside exploring new smells. I spent most of the time sitting in the conservatory looking at the amazing view across the lake. Thanks so much for having us and I'm sure we'll be back in the area soon. Hide

We've traveled from the USA to Hawkshead many times and this is by far the best property we have rented. Small, but very cozy. The welcome basket was very much appreciated. A superb little home, in a superb setting with amazing views. If we visit the area one more time we won't need to ponder where to stay! Clive and Monica Payne-Culpan.

Fabulous cottage with amazing views. Well equiped with everything you could want from a self catering cottage. Only a short walk into Hawkshead. Have already booked for the same time next year.

Fabulous cottage in a fabulous place. Close to Hawkshead, reachable by foot. Lots to do and great walking around the area, also for non-serious walkers like us. The cottage is very clean, rooney yet cozy and very well kitted out.

An absolutely perfect 5 day stay over Christmas. Home from home, everthing you need is thought of and accommodated for at the cottage. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. We were able to cook a large Christmas dinner on the range cooker. The conservatory ,with lake view, is an amazing feature, and we loved to watch the sunrise with a coffeRead moree in the morning. Great location, fabulous walks, lovely village with shops and pubs. Highly recommend and we will be returning when we can! Hide

All round great venue and location for the Lake District and to take advantage of the local ferry to safe time and mileage. Leaving th property and getting onto the main road requires great care with your view restricted. Seriously considering a return visit.
