Does your dog love days exploring the great outdoors followed by cosy evenings in by the wood burner? We’ve got just the thing – a stay at this pretty cottage in the Norfolk village of Syderstone. This stylish property, located between a National Nature Reserve and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the perfect spot for a happy holiday if you’re a family or group of friends with up to two dogs.

The inside of the house is charmingly decorated, with sumptuous sofas, cosy rugs and cushions and wooden furniture. The lounge is perfect for relaxing together in the evenings – sit back with a magazine and a hot chocolate as Benedict doses off dreaming of catching seagulls. Take a luxurious soak in the freestanding roll-top bath. When you fancy some fresh air, pop out into the garden where you’ll find furniture for enjoying outside meals on finer days. This area is enclosed, so you don’t need to worry about your pets wandering off.

The village of Syderstone is surrounded by lovely walking trails for long or short trips through the Norfolk countryside that you can access without needing to get in the car. The sea is only 10 miles away – to give waggy-tailed guests the workout of their lives, head to Wells-next-the-Sea (9.5 miles) or Holkham Bay (13.5 miles). This is the second year I've stayed at Heathsyde Cottage with my two sisters. It is very comfortable, warm and ideal for exploring North Norfolk. The lack of onsite parking is no problem as the cottage is on a very quiet road that only one other resident parked on. Syderstone Common is just a couple of minutes walk away down the road. Great location. Not for the tall ( doors are low), well equipped, but bed mattresses very hard ( couldn't sleep). Lovely welcome pack and useful information on area. Clean but had an odor of dogs when returning to cottage in the evening ( as dogs are allowed), which could have been better removed.

We've stayed at Heathsyde Cottage many times over the years, and still enjoy our stays here. It's comfortable, well equipped and cosy, in a lovely quiet location, with plenty to see and do in the area. The perfect "home from home"!

We really enjoyed our week at this property, the location of which is ideal for exploring North Norfolk. It was the perfect size for us (three retired sisters) and the downstairs bedroom and facilities was just right for one of us with mobilty problems. The sheltered garden was a little suntrap, much appreciated during our week of mild, sunny weathRead moreer. The road is so quiet that the on-street parking opposite was no problem. I've already recommended this cottage to a friend! Hide

A pretty cottage in rural Norfolk. Well equipped including plenty of towels. A lovely common close by with plenty of opportunity for walking with or without the furry friend. Sculthorpe Mill and the Old Forge at Fakenham were very good places to eat . Booking essential. Sandringham is very close but again booking is advised..

Lovely cottage. Our third stay. Great quiet location away from the busy coastal strip, but not so far as to still enjoy walks on the deserted, beautiful beaches. Sculthorpe nature reserve nearby, excellant to see a variety of birds.
