Dotted with lush greenery, rustic features and creature comforts, this quirky coastal cottage is the perfect abode for a four-legged friend and its owners. Less than a mile from sandy, stick chasing spots and places to dip paws in the ocean, spend your days in the great outdoors before returning to warm toes and tails by the welcoming wood burner, or enjoy an al fresco coffee and a treat on the patio.

This beautiful bolthole exudes style and sophistication from the moment you arrive. Step inside to make yourselves at home and to unpack provisions in the kitchen. Stock the cupboards and make room for the treat jar in this bright space where an old feature Range adds character, and you can find all you need to cook up a storm. Dine in fabulous style in the cool, conservatory dining room with its chequerboard floor, large windows and plants which create an inviting atmosphere and a great place to open a bottle or two. For lazy, post-beach afternoons, settle down for some peace and quiet in the light, tranquil lounge. The wood burner keeps the chill at bay and the bookcase offers you plenty of tales to delve into. Warm your toes on the underfloor heating in the shower room and freshen up before heading to the first floor to drift off and dream. The double bedroom and the twin room are both lovely places to rise and shine and to get ready to the day ahead. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Travel 21.5 miles to the northern tip of the Northumberland Coast AONB and spend a day in the coastal village of Bamburgh. Pack your clubs and take to the golf course, visit the Grace Darling Museum, marvel at the fantastic views from the castle or enjoy a day on the beach, where dogs are allowed to scatter the sand with pawprints all year round. For an inland adventure, head 23.5 miles to the National Park and visit the tumbling falls at Linhope Spout, a great picnic spot and place to dip in the natural plunge pool.

A lovely cottage with parking, in the beautiful high street of Alnmouth. Close the beach, fantastic local shop and pubs. We would highly recommend this property and look to return in the future. Thank you for a comfortable stay!

This is an excellent cottage, comfortable and ideally situated. Easy to get up and down the Northumberland coast and to the interior. Good floor surfaces for a dog, conservatory is warm and comfortable and the shower is excellent. Kitchen has everything needed for a stay and is configured to be easy to use.

Had a wonderful week in Almouth. Cottage in a great location. Clean, comfy beds & pillows. Personally we wouldn't book again. We felt the cottage needed a good deep clean. Too many plants dropping leaves everywhere. Under the stairs/coat area a mess. Outside untidy area with weeds & old dirty garden furniture. Felt unloved. Definitely not 4 star weRead more're used to in Alnmouth. Hide

We loved everything about the cottage from its central location in Alnmouth with parking, to the way it was furnished and equipped. The plants and books made it feel very homely, as some holiday properties weve stayed in have felt a bit sterile. It was the cleanest cottage weve stayed in and we appreciated the milk and bottle of wine. The double bRead moreed was really comfortable (I found the pillows a bit hard - but that might just be me). In fact we liked it so much, weve booked to stay again! The food in Bistro 23 across the road is great and we enjoyed sitting by the fire in the Red Lion! We would also recommend the breakfast in the Running Fox at Longhoughton. Hide

Great location near the beach and local shops. Charming character cottage. Note that the bathroom is on the ground floor which might be an issue for some people during the night.
