A spacious terrace where hounds can happily play is just one of the many benefits of this handsome holiday cottage, which has peaceful views overlooking the tidal flats of the River Irt. With space for couples or small families, it's surrounded by excellent walks which are perfect for long-legged mutts, and is just 200 metres from a dog-friendly pub.
Hang leads in the porch and follow your furry friends into this beautifully decorated, historic cottage. Pop their bowls down in the kitchen, a welcoming space with plenty of room for the chef of the holiday to whip up delicious meals. Gather at the farmhouse-style dining table and linger over your food, play a board game or plan your next day's activities, before strolling through to the comfortable lounge. Here you can get cosy on the sofas, perhaps streaming a movie on the Smart TV, and even lighting the wood-burner-effect gas fire if you're feeling chilly. Head upstairs to find the two bedrooms. The king-size room boasts en-suite shower room, ample storage and a window seat for admiring the views, and the elegant twin, decorated in soothing colours, has use of a separate bathroom. In addition to the small front garden, there's a large, decked terrace at the back of the house, with two steps up to a dining area overlooking the tidal flats, and bordered by a wall at the far end (which energetic canines might be able to jump). The property benefits from private roadside parking for one car.
The cottage is set on the outskirts of the village of Ravenglass, itself on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Fabulous walks nearby include a 3-mile round trip which takes in the ruined Roman Bath House and magnificent Muncaster Castle, where dogs are welcome in the gardens.
