Property code: OC-90739

This three-storey house is perfect for a beach-loving party of eight and a couple of canine companions. Step straight onto the sands, enjoy convivial kitchen catch-ups or unwind by the wood burner with the dogs at your feet – this property indulges every holiday desire. At the southern edge of Druridge Bay, Cresswell’s beach is one of the best on the Northumberland coast; its gently sloping sands are backed by extensive dunes, and it’s pet friendly all year round.

Located directly beside the beach, this pretty end-of-terrace property prioritises sociable living; step inside and you’re greeted by an elegant lounge featuring comfortable seating around a wood burner – an ideal spot to warm toes and paws post-walk. Continue into the contemporary open-plan kitchen/diner and you’ll find a Smart TV, an island unit with bar stools, and everything needed for family mealtimes. Bi-folding doors seamlessly blend inside and outside living, leading to the patio and garden, while a utility room and separate shower room add practicality. Once the dogs are curled up in their beds, head upstairs for a choice of three first-floor bedrooms, including a king-size room, a versatile super-king-size zip-and-link room, and a bunk bedroom with sea views. The family bathroom offers a bath and a separate shower. The second-floor king-size bedroom boasts a wow-factor window with stunning sea views and a covered balcony that’s the perfect spot for morning coffee. A path winds through the lawned garden at the front of the house, while to the rear, stone steps lead to an outdoor seating area overlooking the beach. Garden furniture and a BBQ set the stage for al fresco dining, and there’s a summerhouse for shaded relaxation. A gate from the garden opens directly to the beach for sand between toes and paws in an instant.

Enjoy beach walks and picnics in the dunes on your doorstep, and watch out for the dolphins that can be seen swimming offshore. Just across the road at the front of the property, an ancient Pele tower is well-preserved and open to visitors on selected days. Druridge Bay Country Park (7 miles) has a circular lakeside walk, woodland and a children’s play park as well as a lovely beach. When you’ve walked up an appetite, drive to Amble (9 miles) – alongside a pretty marina, the town has welcoming shops, pubs and some great seafood restaurants.

  • 4 bedrooms- 1 super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin), 2 king-size and 1 bunk bedroom
  • 3 bathrooms - 1 ground-floor shower room with shower and WC, 1 bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC and 1 en-suite with bath and WC

A great property, loved waking up to the sunrise over the sea. Cresswell is quiet, which is what we wanted. But if you have children who like arcades etc, its possibly not place for you. Property is well equipped and also has lots of toys and games for young children. Its also a great place to explore Northumberland from. Minor point, it looks likRead moree its a few years since last redecorated, not a big issue to us but for others might be considering cost of stay. The main thing Id say is I did not want to come back home, my husband said he could tell I was in my happy place! Sign of a great holiday! Hide

House extremely comfortable and kitchen very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Nice cafe a 5 minute walk away, which gets busy but worth the visit.

Cresswell is a great place for a peaceful holiday, this was our fourth visit to the village and this is the best of the properties we have stayed in. Wonderful house and garden with fabulous position and viewing places; garden, top floor balcony and bedroom.

This was one of the highest standard properties we have stayed in with Holiday Cottages and everything within the house was wonderful. The setting on to the beach was incomparable and we loved our walks with the dogs. We would highly recommend and will book this property again; perhaps in the summer months.
