Property code: OC-SZ103

Sleeping eight guests and three pups, the spacious bungalow is perfect for family holidays and reunions with friends. Located between the Lake District National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to walks to enjoy with your four-legged companions. The property has ample room for socialising, with a large dining area and cosy snug. Outside, a lawn wraps around the bungalow where children and hounds can play.

The property boasts glorious countryside views to the distant fells. Once inside, discover a light and bright bungalow, with a fabulous lounge/diner overlooking the garden. Here, you can all dine together around the oak dining table and, on a summer’s day, throw open the patio doors to allow the woofers to wander in and out. Enjoy movie nights in front of the Smart TV, or retreat to the snug to read a book in front of the warming wood burner. This is also a great place for the furballs to enjoy a bit of chill-out time, away from all the socialising. There are four delightful, tastefully decorated bedrooms. An enclosed garden, with large areas of lawn, envelops the property. Dine on the sunny patio and admire the rural views, whilst your furry friends burn off steam.

Just 5 miles away is the bustling town of Penrith. Many of its independent shops welcome canine visitors, and you’ll also find a great selection of woof-friendly cafes. 9.5 miles away, at Pooley Bridge, you and the pups can board the Ullswater Steamer to explore the lake, hopping on and off to enjoy a stroll along the Ullswater Way. Hutton-in-the-Forest (11 miles) makes a great doggy day out. On a lead, they can sniff their way around the immaculate gardens and wander through the medieval forest.

House was lovely, very well equipped and spacious. Plenty of parking, if a bit random. Kitchen was well equipped. The open plan kitchen, diner, lounge was a great social space. Walking distance to the Shepherds Inn for good food.

Our second stay at Bridgeway, which has been improved since our last visit with a remodelling of the kitchen. We were disappointed with the enclosed garden as we felt our labs and cocker spaniel could of easily of got over the wall in certain places. We loved the bungalow, and the village; the village shop is great, and close by. The road outside was busy & quite noisy - you don't notice it when the windows are shut, but we had to have some windows open as the weather was very hot.
