This bright and cosy family home is the ideal seaside hideaway for a family and their faithful furry friends. Located in the sweeping Northumberland coast, in the harbour town of Seahouses, the cottage enjoys a vibrant yet peaceful environment, with inspiring coast walks in every direction.

The property is a spacious seaside cottage. Inside, contemporary style is balanced with traditional features. The living space has an inviting open-plan design — a comfy lounge, sweet family dining area, and a kitchen with all the equipment you need to self-cater and rustle up some great beach picnics. Your cottage bedrooms are relaxing, with natural decor and thoughtful details. The master is a light and airy double room with ample storage and a peaceful vibe. The second bedroom is a delightful twin, perfect for children. Outside the cottage sits a patio garden with space to sit and enjoy an al fresco meal in the sea air, while the dogs stretch their legs or lounge beside you.

The harbour town of Seahouses is a seaside haven. Walk beside the harbour wall and watch the fishing boats or explore the friendly neighbourhood cafes and restaurants. Your local dog-friendly pub is mere metres from the cottage door, as is the beginning of a coastal footpath that winds over the cliffs. Pack up those pups and take a boat to the Farne Islands. Dogs are welcome on Longstone Island, where you can watch for seabirds and seals, and explore the historic lighthouse that looks over the waves.

One of the very best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. It was clean, well equipped but not cluttered, and the notices/rules set perfectly reasonable expectations whilst not being unnecessarily restrictive. The location is *perfect* with convenient access to the town and dog walking beaches as well as having Swallow Fish Ltd and The Black SwRead morean immediately to hand. Parking was tight, but thats to be expected in a popular tourist town. Because of the location, we didnt need to use our car much. We noted that only sufficient wood was provided for one night using the log burner (for aesthetic/cosy as the central heating was perfectly adequate), so we bought our own wood so we could use the log burner every night. Union Cottage is a lovely comfortable accommodation, it is very homely with lots of personal touches that go above and beyond to help it feel like 'home from home'. It was spotlessly clean with parking right outside, and owner communication was excellent. This is also a fabulous location, you literally turn a corner to access the lovely harbour wheRead morere you can walk in the small sandy cove, and explore the rock pools at low tide. At the end of Union Street (a very short and quiet road with no through traffic), is the Black Swan Pub where we enjoyed several wonderful lunches and evening meals. Next door is The Schooner, a more traditional pub - we and our dog were made very welcome at both. The small town of Seahouses has some lovely gift shops as well as all you need for everyday groceries (plus more pubs) and various takeaway options. Seahouses beach is stunning and offers a great walk to the castle with dunes to explore, keen birders and wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed. We recommend the circular walk at Hethpool to watch the Wild Cheviot Goats (take binoculars). If you are lucky enough to stay at Union Cottage don't miss out a trip to Holy Island for more scenic walking and a visit to the Mead Shop! Hide

Lovely accommodation, fully equipped. Warm and comfortable. Literally a stones throw from the beach. (If you were a Pitcher for the New York Yankees). The smoked herring shop around the corner is an added bonus. Fully recommend.

Probably the best equipped accomodation we've ever had. Furnished tastefully and comfortably. Some lovely touches with the decor. My wife loved the open fire and logs can be purchased from the local garage. Shortest walk to a pub I've ever had, and the coastal walks 10,mins away. Bamburgh Castle a 30min walk away. Perfect location for us.

Union cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated and furnished, very homely but at the same time made you feel like you were on holiday. Everything you would want in the kitchen, plenty of local information and entertainment. Ideal location for walks on the seafront and to the local amenities.
