Sniff the sea air and throw down your anchor in beautiful Blakeney, an iconic seaside village on the stunning Norfolk coast. Beneath the cobbled-stone exterior, this traditional fisherman’s cottage boasts an array of home comforts including a roaring wood burner and a courtyard garden. Ideal for three humans and an accompanying sea dog, it’s a great spot for enjoying cliff-top trails, spotting resident wildlife and feasting on delicious picnics brimming with local delights.

Escape the blustering gale and hunker down by the wood burner on chilly evenings, letting sleeping dogs lie as you toast your toes and sip wine. The cosy living space is open-plan and features everything you need for your stay, including all the kitchen essentials for rustling up hearty suppers and rousing breakfasts. Perch at the table with your morning coffee, or head outside to the courtyard garden, sizzling up a special breakfast on the BBQ. A set of steep, winding cottage-style stairs leads upstairs to the bedroom, which has a gorgeous king-size bed and an adjoining single room perfect for children. There’s also an en-suite shower room for hosing down muddy paws, and ample on-street parking subject to availability.

Grab the lead and stroll through the nature reserve, looking out for the grey seal colony and nesting sea birds that inhabit the area. Take to the sea from Blakeney Point, or venture along the coast to Cley-next-the-Sea to visit the 18th-century windmill, 1 mile away. The Norfolk Coast Path is breathtaking to explore in either direction, but Wells-next-the-Sea is a wonderful destination, 8.5 miles away, for a well-deserved lunch of fish and chips, admiring the colourful beach huts and perhaps trying your hand at crabbing.

A gorgeous gem of a cottage in the best possible location in Blakeney. Cosy, charming and comfortable. Very small and not recommended for anyone who is unable to climb / descend an incredibly awkward staircase. It didnt bother us, but took some getting used to! This property exceeded our expectations. It was well equipped for cooking and comfort with a log burning stove and plenty of wood, a good central heating system, constant hot water, and a good array of comfortable seating. The bed was comfortable and warm and the property itself was close to shops and pubs as well s being within walking distance oRead moref the harbour and marsh for bird watching or just invigorating walks. It was also equipped with a reasonable library and a chess set, scrabble, playing cards and a smart TV. The decor was good with plenty of pleasing pictures. There were also some nice welcoming gifts. Despite a few small niggles mentioned above we really enjoyed our stay. We found the cottage small but perfectly formed and included almost everything we could have wished for. It was warm and comfortable, we stayed during a particularly mild week in November so only lit the fire one night and got too warm! A particular bonus with those steep stairRead mores was the downstairs toilet and there was plenty of space for coats and boots. We loved Blakeney and went on several beautiful walks from the cottage door. We would highly recommend The Moorings for an evening meal. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage. As described the cottage is compact but was fine for two of us and a medium sized dog. It is in the perfect location for exploring the area and had everything we could need for our stay. The parking pass and Sky were a bonus and the welcome gift of local treats was much appreciated.
