On the whole the cottage was perfect for us except for the lack of dishwasher. The location meant the we did not have to travel too far to visit the many lovely places in the area. Plenty of space for 2 couples and 3 dogs.

Garry Cottage is a good base for exploring the area. It needs some TLC but is basically clean and reasonably well equipped. It is located on a main road so there is traffic noise. Local shop is brilliant, as is the Collingwood Arms straight across the road - very nice food, friendly staff.

Besides the issues with the WiFi and tvs, we honestly couldnt fault our stay at Garry Cottage everything to make the stay perfect was available in the cottage. Lovely light airy and clean with all the essentials provided. The garden is fab, very secure and huge ideal for our 3 dogs who absolutely loved it! Lots of different birds visiting the gardeRead moren too and it was lovely listening to the owls at night! The pub/restaurant over the road looked beautiful and was extremely popular with our stay being over Christmas but with having 3 dogs sadly we didnt get to visit this time around but wed love to go back to Garry Cottage and go in the future. The kitchen had everything needed for the prefect holiday and more!! The large double oven, American fudge freezer with ice and cold water on tap was very much appreciated and the log burner really set the huge kitchen off. Bed solid and comfortable as were the sofas, the cottage was lovely warm and cosy. Cornhill was a beautiful little village and Coldstream was stunning too. We have a fantastic Christmas holiday here and we will be back! Highly recommend Garry Cottage without a doubt. Hide

The external entrance and windows were a disgrace and have not been touched for months. The cobwebs and dirt was very disappointing. The perimeter hedges have not been cut for months, the heights blockedthe beautifulviews. The paths needed the moss scraping and jet washing.
