We had a fantastic weeks holiday in this beautiful and historic house near Cockermouth. The location was perfect, only 10 minutes from the town but still out in the peaceful Lake District countryside. This was a great base to discover the many attractions of the northern Lakes. Highly recommended.

An absolute gem in beautiful surroundings. A house full of history. It's not often you get to stay somewhere like this, we felt very privileged. Lots of land for dogs to run too.

Ten out of ten. Amazing cottage. Second time here and wont be the last. We visit the lake district at least twice or 3 times a year with the family and this cottage is by far the best for us.
