Stick chasers, sand dune explorers and shoreline scamperers are in for a treat in this spectacular corner of the Northumberland Coast. Set within 1.5 miles of Beadnell Bay, this cosy cottage is the ideal staycation base for families and small groups. Sleeping six humans and four hounds, the property is a stylish haven with subtle dog-friendly perks such as wipe-clean floors, a pretty garden space and washing facilities suitable for hosing down messy paws.

Step inside to discover a wonderfully spacious lounge/kitchen/dining area boasting comfortable sofas, a wood burner and a table large enough for Fido to hide under in pursuit of scraps. Whip up hearty breakfasts and dinnertime feasts in the country cottage-style kitchen area, gathering the pack to swap stories and share good bottles of wine. At bedtime, climb the stairs to find three snug bedrooms and a handy bathroom, complete with a shower over the bath for long soaks. Your outside space is top dog for sunset snoozes and al fresco meals, choosing to dine on the patio, or retire to the sheltered all-weather area if the weather turns rainy. There’s ample parking for two cars, and an array of walking opportunities on your doorstep.

The Northumberland coastline is an iconic Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty thanks to its rugged shores, windswept beaches and awe-inspiring views across the North Sea. Beadnell Bay is an excellent spot for adrenaline junkies to try the many water sports on offer, but it’s just as pleasant to partake in simple strolls and picnics on the sand if you prefer. Budding historians will be awestruck at the castles waiting to be explored, whether you head to the towering Bamburgh Castle, 5 miles away, or the eerie ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, 8.5 miles away.

This is a lovely cottage in the heart if the old village of Beadnell. Very comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our relaxing Easter break on the beautiful north east coast.

We found the location quite easily. Upon entering we found everything that we needed and we were able to settle in straight away. A big plus was the supplied tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and dog treats as well as a bottle of wine. We also found a good number of games and books. There was a child gate at the bottom of the stairs which prevented the dRead moreogs going upstairs. Just the same as we have at home. Excellent sleeping arrangements and a large warm bathroom. Also we were close to the beach which was really useful. Shops and a pub / restaurant were close. A perfect retreat and a great holiday. Hide

We had an excellent fortnight at Wits End, it was made better by the glorious weather. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. The location is superb. We enjoyed the outside space and the hosepipe was an excellent addition!

Cottage was lovely but the bathroom window doesn't open. Also, we felt the third bedroom was really too small to have as a double. My 84 year old mother stayed in the room and at first she couldn't even shut the door as the bed was in the way. There was nowhere for her to store her clothes and very little room for her to move around. We felt it wouRead moreld be better as a single room with a double sofa bed downstairs in the lounge for extra sleeping. Hide

Wonderfully decorated for Christmas, lots of logs supplied and replenished by ourselves, a warm and cosy house, situated in the middle of the village with lots of Christmas activities. Our second visit.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location, the downstairs space is fab as everyone can be together and the bedrooms are comfortable. There was a lovely welcome hamper which was a nice touch. It was disappointing to find thick dust and cobwebs in areas and the downstairs loo with a major mould issue; black mould on the ceiling which wasnt pleasanRead moret. We were only left one little log for the fire, we would have expected a few so we could at least use the fire one night. Hide

The downstairs washroom had a damp smell on arrival and looking around a large black patch was noticed on the ceiling. The night light on the landing wasnt working, which I reported but no one got back to me as promised. An excellently situated property, well equipped and extremely clean. Booked at the last minute as our previous property, through another site and owner, was in appalling state.

The cottage is small but well equipped. located in the centre of Beadnell a short walk from the pub and cafes, but a longer walk from Beadnell Bay Beach. The beach is the key attraction here and we walked for miles along the shoreline. Our dog loved it and must have ran 4 times the length of the beach chasing her ball.
