Great position, well serviced by buses and very close to a small nature reserve and fab pub with both dog-friendly facilities and areas for no dogs. Good walks in the vicinity. Peaceful and scenic. Everything we wanted.

A lovely small cottage, well furnished and had everything we needed. A few small areas could be improved, but none spoiled our holiday: cleaners could do better, toilet had strange fluff on it & 2 cooker hobs were on when we arrived! No shelf in shower for gel/shampoo; no instructions for recycling (had to leave in only bin with other rubbish). ArrRead moreival info could be clearer, how to find right door, esp in dark; neighbour not happy with using drive to unload, despite instructions saying to do so. "Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk Thank you for your review, were pleased you found everything you need. House needs to be properly cleaned in between clients. Suite, table and floors were extremely dirty. We cleaned everything before we could even use them. Not what we needed after a long drive from Scotland to get there. Bathroom floor tiles are cracked, stagnant water smell from back door mat which caused heaps of flies all over the house, Bought fRead morely spray but it didnt help. Blue bottles all around the floor in main living room when we arrived. "Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it. Great view from living room window. Clean and comfortable apartment with well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. The twin bedroom is more suited to children rather than 2 adults. The cottage is very basic and a bit shabby. The second bedroom is very small with two beds and no storage. The plus side is the location is outstanding with amazing views and easy access to amazing places

A comfortable, cosy cottage with plenty of room for relaxing. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything that we needed. Super view from the living room, and we had lovely meals at The Pheasant, close by. just over the A66.

Beautiful location. Handy for Keswick and Cockermouth. Pheasant Inn pub less than a mile away which was very cosy. The Lakes Distillery and bistro also worth a visit, via a mile walk. Short drive to supermarkets.
