In amongst the wild and rural mountainous slopes of the Lake District National Park sits this charming cottage. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, this idyllic property is perfectly located for enjoying an abundance of impressive hiking trails up nearby fells. As a group of up to six people and two dogs can spend your days muddying your boots and paws as you ramble through a mosaic of picturesque woodlands and magnificent valleys.
Walk across the graveled pathway to enter through the porch door and discover a light and cosy sitting room with comfy sofas and a wood burner. As your dog curls up next to the flickering fire, the rest of your group can head through to the well-equipped kitchen, where you can rustle up a feast of your favourite foods. A dining space with a table is a fantastic place to socialize and plan your next day’s adventure. The most special part of this holiday home is its garden. Sit at the table on the patio as your four-legged friend explores the ample lawn and winding path that leads through to a small woodland with a pond – please keep an eye on children and dogs near the pond. When it’s time for bed, your group can choose from three bedrooms: two double rooms or a pretty twin, which offer views of either Causey Pike or Catbells.
The market town of Keswick is 4 miles from the doorstep and has plenty of eateries for foodies to wine and dine in as well as a number of independent shops to peruse. The beautiful Derwentwater is 5.5 miles away and is a lovely spot for a peaceful walk with your pup. You could even try a water sport activity like sailing or kayaking during your visit.
