Set tails wagging on an adventure to this cosy and welcoming wooden cabin near a river, beach and seafront village in South Devon. Spend quality time with your four-legged friends and up to three other human guests in the sociable and stylish open-plan living area with reams of natural light pouring in through the patio doors. Subtle hints of a coastal theme runs throughout the property to ensure you enjoy a true seaside getaway.

Step inside and find yourself in the welcoming open-plan living space with a mix of contemporary decor and home comforts – like warming rugs and pretty pictures hanging on the walls. To one side of this space is a one-walled kitchen with glossy cabinets and farm-house-style wooden surface tops. Next to this is a chic dining table and chair set. Continue into the lounge area with two plump sofas and a warming wood burner which Fido can curl up in front of. Outside is a patio area with seating, a BBQ plus a shed with storage space.

During your stay on the outskirts of the village of Shaldon, you can start your day with a stroll along the River Teign into the centre of the village where you’ll find a bakery, canine-welcoming pubs, cafes and a botanical garden with a castle (within 1 mile). Continue towards the seafront to find the dog-friendly Ness Cove Beach (1.5 miles) which is backed by rich red cliffs. Had a lovely stay. Nice quiet location but a bit far from the village to be able to walk it. Still enjoyed our time there tremendously

Really enjoyed our week at Hygge House. The large spacious living area was idea for our two dogs and despite the weather being very cold the house was comfortably warm with under floor heating supplemented by log burner and free standing heaters. Ideal location for long walks and Shaldon was a lovely village.

This house is near the beautiful village of Shaldon with the estuary just across the owners garden. Lots of great walks out the door and a lovely modern property.

We had a lovely stay at Hygge House. It was easy to find with the clear instructions and there was a surprise welcome which went down a treat. The property is equipped with very high standard appliances, it's clean, spacious, warm, light and very comfortable. The owner gave us some helpful information about the area upon arrival and there was also Read morea stash of leaflets and maps of all the local walks and attractions which was much appreciated having never visited the area before. The town of Shaldon is quaint and pretty with the beach, shop and local pubs within walking distance of the property which is snuggled in its own quiet corner. I couldn't ask any more from a holiday property, it delivered everything I was looking for. Hide

Property in a good location and lots in walking distance, with plenty of things for all the family, especially if you like messing around in water. Well equiped and comfortable. We made good use of the outside space and enjoyed lighter evenings on the verandah. A comfy, cosy property!
