Walk the coastal footpath that runs past the house, or drive to Cardinham Woods (19 miles) for a trail through scenic woodland. Another fabulous adventure for your intrepid hound involves taking the passenger ferry across the estuary to Fowey for a stroll along the harbour and lunch in a pub that welcomes four-legged customers. There are also several beaches to sniff out along the Cornish coast. They include the remote but incredibly beautiful Lantic Bay (1.5 miles) where canines can run free all year round.
