Nestled a stick’s throw from Bassenthwaite Lake, with walks through the Lake District National Park beginning from the doorstep, this family-friendly country cottage is perfect for anyone keen to reconnect with the great outdoors.
Hang up the leash in the entrance hallway before following the crackle of the wood burner into the first lounge or the warmth of the coal-effect electric fire into the second lounge. Leave your pup to doze on their special blanket and head into the spacious kitchen/diner that boasts contemporary country cottage style décor to tame the growl of hungry tummies. Upstairs, you’ll find four bedrooms that feature tail-wagging views to wake up to; one king-size, one twin zip-and-link (can be made up as a super-king-size), one twin and one bunk bedroom (suitable for children only). The family bathrooms upstairs offer everything you need to wash off a long day on the local trails. Outside, the enclosed lawned garden is the perfect space for playful pups to soak up some sunshine whilst the whole family dines alfresco (dogs must be kept on leads outside due to the sheep in the surrounding fields). There is private parking for four cars at the property.
At the heart of the Lake District National Park, this scenic spot moments from the banks of Bassenthwaite Lake offers some wonderful walks to enjoy with your canine companion in tow.
