Situated in the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park and surrounded by mountains, is this comfortable four-bedroom terraced property. With stunning countryside and woodland walks straight from the door, it’s a tranquil spot for a family or group of friends, plus one hound looking for outdoor adventure.

A sense of homely comfort sweeps through the interior of this cosy cottage, with soft furnishings, wood-panelled flooring, exposed stonework, and neutral tones creating a soothing atmosphere. After a day of exploring, kick off boots in the sunroom then pad through to the lounge and relax on the large sofa. With two wood burners to keep toes and paws toasty warm, unwind with a film and your pup at your feet. When it comes to mealtimes, dish up dinner for Fido in the stylish kitchen, then enjoy a sociable dinner at the dining table while admiring the mountain views. Afterwards, head back to the sunroom and watch the sun set over the fells. Sleepyheads can retire upstairs and choose between two doubles and a twin room. All the bedrooms are pleasantly furnished and share a family bathroom. Outside, three patios are dotted with garden furniture so you can bask in the sun while keeping an eye on Fido as he sniffs out new scents in the partially enclosed garden.

With plenty of dog-friendly walking trails straight from your door, you don’t need to go far to enjoy the natural landscape. From Braithwaite, get tails wagging with a hike up Barrow or for more energetic pups, tackle the 9-mile Coledale Horseshoe. Your hound will love scrambling through woods and scampering over moorland as you take in the stunning views from the summit. Alternatively, spend the day at Derwentwater Lake (3 miles) where you can stroll along the shore, splash in the water or enjoy the views from a boat. For shops, restaurants, and tearooms, Keswick is 2.5 miles away.

Loved the cottage. What a beautiful location. There were 6 of us and it was a stretch only having the one bathroom for showers however. The cottage wasn't cleaned very well on our arrival however the company were quick to respond offering to send in cleaners.

A very well equipped and homely cottage, perfectly situated to access the fells, for five adults and a dog. The kitchen/diner area is a great sociable space to prepare and eat meals together after a day out on the hills. The conservatory was also a bonus and a nice space to relax. We had a very wet week, so is was fantastic to have the outside areaRead more to store wet boots, waterproofs, bikes and even an inflatable kayak! As was the utility room to dry wet clothes!! Thank you, we hope to return. Hide

Lovely cottage in a great location. This is a 3/4 bedroom cottage with only one small bathroom, only 2 of use staying so not an issue. Additional toilet downstairs.

We really enjoyed our stay at Turncroft Cottage, set in a fantastic location with far reaching views. The fire was very welcome on the cold nights and was easy to use. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen had all the amenities needed to make meals. The house was spotlessly clean and had just been painted. We spotted over 16 bird species from Read morethe cottage, and even a stoat! We would love to come back to the cottage again. Hide

A beautiful and well-maintained cottage in a wonderful location with a pretty garden, stunning views and great walks from the doorstep, with a friendly pub one minute away. Keswick, Derwentwater, Newlands Valley and Buttermere are all an easy drive. Our family of five (plus dog) had a brilliant holiday.
