Enjoy a wow-factor holiday with up to ten people and two dogs when you stay at this incredible countryside property. Nestled within the rolling hills and lush green fields of the Eden Valley, this stylish home from home is within easy access of countless walking routes and natural wonders. Spend a day climbing Cross Fell or scramble to the top of High Cup Nick. Take your pup for a stroll alongside the River Eden or head to Abbott Lodge Jersey Ice Cream farm for a scrumptious afternoon treat.

Your excitable pup will be raring to explore the grounds and interior of this impressive holiday home. Pour your dog a bowl of crunchy treats and open a bottle of bubbly in the modern kitchen/diner. Leave the chef of your group to rustle up some nibbles as you head into the formal dining room with stunning double-height vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. A gorgeous, bright open-plan living area can be found in the newer wing of the house and it’s here that your pup will really make itself at home next to the flickering flames of the wood burner. When it’s time for bed, choose from one of five bedrooms: two super-king-size zip-and-links, 1 twin zip-and-link and 2 king-size bedrooms.

Burn off some of your pup’s energy with a walk to the summit of Thack Moor (11 miles), which is one of England’s ‘newest’ mountains. Lowther Castle and Gardens (12 miles) is a must-visit for history buffs and children will also love exploring the incredible adventure playground on-site.

The house is exceptionally well equipped and furnished throughout. We were a family gathering of 10 adults and every couple had a beautiful bedroom and bathroom. With two kitchens and living areas we had many different options of where to gather - settling in what we called The Library in the evenings for board games. The surrounding area is beautiRead moreful - lovely to visit when the fields were full of lambs. There are so many lovely walks on the doorstep if you have a dog. Beautiful house. Hide

we loved the attention to detail the owners have lavished on the house . The high spec appliances made cooking a joy . It would have been good to have recommendations for local places to eat and we struggled a little with local walks as following the one on the map in the kitchen brought us to a newly erected wire fence protecting sheep and lambs

We recently stayed at Burrellhill for a week over Christmas and it was honestly the most amazing week. The house is perfect for a big group; spacious, roomy, comfortable, cosy, modern and very well equipped. The house was very warm and we loved that there was plenty of wood for the log burners. The views from the house are stunning, and it's not Read moretoo far to Ullswater which is beautiful, and great for a walk. Would 100% recommend this cottage, we'd love to go back. Hide

Gorgeous comfortable property equipped to a very high standard with everything you need & more (incl a Panasonic breadmaker & ceramic beans for blind baking!) We stayed during autumn so enjoyed the cosy living room/library area with log burner; would love to stay again in summer & utilise the other living room with indoor/outdoor flow to the lovelyRead more terrace. A few more maps of walking routes from cottage would be appreciated in info folder & a sign on cattlegrid gate to aid directions would help. Hide

The Cottage is lovely but it configuration with 2 kitchens and living rooms is odd the 2nd kitchen is wasted space and the second living room is not needed. It is understandable how the configuration came about but the space is included for in the price which makes the cottages value poorer than it should be. It's a lovely property but the cost is Read morehigh for the useable space. Hide

Wonderful farmhouse, beautifully appointed, we found everything we needed, kitchens were well stocked with everything. Comfy beds, great showers and all en suites. Multi generational family, we had a great time. Lovely peaceful location, but enough to do out and about. Our 3dogs had a great time too.

This was our second visit as a large family group and remains the favourite house that we've stayed at. Superbly furnished and everything was spotless and well maintained. It's well positioned for exploring the Pennines, North Lakes and even parts of the Yorkshire Dales.

Simply the best cottage we have stayed in the Lake District. Definitely not a home from home, sooooo much better. Took me a day to get orientated. Its huge! So peaceful. Very well and generously equipped. Not so many walks on your doorstep (depending on what you are looking for from a walk of course). We like to go high and long, but these walks arRead moree easily reached in 30 minutes by car. The only slight negative is the nearest pub doesnt allow dogs inside. Hide
