Lovely pet friendly characterful cottage that's in a good location for accessing the Loweswater and Crummock Water hills. Read the details - there really is no internet and no signal (on 3 anyway) in the house, so make sure you download your Netflix or equivalent beforehand if it's a winter visit, but can't grumble for the price we paid. We had a lovely stay at Cobblers Cottage. Both the cottage and the village are full of character. The bed was comfy and the linen was of good quality. The property has thick walls and was very cool on hot days, and as stated did not have WiFi. We did not use the small garden but instead used the Jubilee garden next to the village hall in the SummerRead mores evenings. The pub at nearby Loweswater was very friendly and served excellent food. Hide

The cottage is full of character and very cosy. The facilities were generally okay, but given the poor mobile phone reception it could have benefitted from having WiFi connectivity, unless you want a tech detox holiday. While all the bedding and bathroom was clean, the downstairs carpets were covered in pet hairs.
