Escape the busy city life and retreat to this idyllic thatched cottage tucked away in the picturesque village of East Chaldon. Perfect for a family getaway or a couples’ retreat, give your four-legged friend a new leash of life by spending the days exploring lush countryside, pebbled beaches, rugged coastal paths and charming eateries dotted en-route. Explore a range of adventures on a holiday at this unique cottage.

Traditional exteriors make the contemporary interior a joyous surprise. Modern and bright throughout, this cottage has been sympathetically renovated into a stunning getaway. Shake off the boots and wipe the paws before making your way through to the spacious sitting room where you can kick back and relax on the comfy sofas to watch TV or enjoy a snooze in front of the flame-effect electric fire. If the day’s exploring has left your pup mucky then the utility room will be a godsend! The garden room armchairs look through French doors to the rear garden, so your canine chum can scamper, sniff and roll in the grass to his heart’s content, regardless of the weather, whilst you watch from the warmth. For sunnier evenings, enjoy dining alfresco with a glass of wine on the terrace, and for the early mornings, let Rover roam as you sip a morning coffee, getting ready for the day of walkies ahead.

The South West Coast Path offers boundless opportunities for walks, stopping at bays and beaches along the way. Explore Hartland Moor (12.5 miles) and venture to the sea stacks of Old Harry Rocks over Ballard Down (19 miles). Splash in the shallows and conquer the dunes at Studland (20 miles) and search for fossils at Kimmeridge Bay (13 miles). The village shop is conveniently just 1.5 miles away, and the pub within 1 mile.

We had a fabulous holiday in this lovely, comfy and well equipped cottage in an absolutely gorgeous location. It was very private with a choice of two gardens to sit out in in the evenings. The parking was a massive asset and the cottage lovely to return to at the end of the day. We will definitely be returning - thank you!

What a lovely cottage in a lovely location. Masses of bright and airy room inside for us (two adults and a dog). Comfortable and clean. Can't fault the cottage. No noise, no traffic, no rush, no problem. Footpath leading to the SW coast path from the door, ideal if you want to do a bit of walking. Slightly less of a walk (200 yards) is the friendlyRead more pub which do takeaways - a bonus if you forget to book a table... Loads of places to visit within the very local area. Beautiful cottage in a peaceful village. Very clean and very comfy beds. The stairs are quite narrow at the top. The local pub is good but there is also a very good pub in West Lulworth, The Castle Inn, about a 5 minute drive where youll get good food and a great welcome and visit the cove while youre there, its a vey special place. Bubbs cottage is lovely, despite having inclement weather we had a lovely stay. It is in a secluded location, however Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door just a short drive away. The garden is lovely and was secure for our dog.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the delightful Bubbs Cottage. Our only negative comment is that the staircase is very steep and twisty and this was not mentioned in the cottage description. As elderly folk with slight mobility problems we found it rather difficult going up and down, a bit scary in fact. However we really did love the cottage it wRead moreas immaculately clean and well equipped and so peaceful. Beautiful surrounding countryside and close to so many places that we love to visit. Hide
