Set tails wagging and plan your stay in Broughton-in-Furness, choosing this cosy cottage that sleeps six as your base. Your two canine companions will adore the range of walks on offer, whether you are discovering the rugged beaches along the Cumbrian Coastline or venturing into the heart of the Lake District National Park. The wood burner awaits your return, so grab a few treats and get ready to relax.

Rustic and charming with period features such as timber beams, your accommodation is top dog for families and small groups. Light the wood burner and select a book from the shelves in the lounge, cosying up for family film nights at the end of the day. Fido will soon find his favourite spot in the kitchen/diner, waiting patiently for you to cook his dinner. Dine around the table, in the sunroom, or head outside for a BBQ on the patio. Steps lead up to the raised lawn where the children and pups can play and where you can appreciate the views. Back inside, a corner staircase leads up to three delightful bedrooms and a generous bathroom.

The surrounding landscape has lots to offer including Duddon Mosses, a Natural Nature Reserve with an abundance of wildlife 2.5 miles away. Scamper in the direction of the coast and you’ll be rewarded with the vast Silecroft Beach and stunning Haverigg Beach, both within 8.5 miles. 3 night stay which was very comfortable, cottage is very spacious and warm. It was clean and well equipped with all home comforts. The cottage has a lot of character as some parts are old. Private garden area is a lovely bonus. Only negative is proximity to the narrow part of the road which is often busy and creates road noise. The owners have howeRead morever added extra glazing to the bedroom windows. It wouldnt put me off staying there again and the village proximity is good for all local amenities. Hide

A lovely, characterful cottage with period features. Well-equipped, clean and bigger than the photos suggest. A nice little garden, we made pie from the apples off the tree. The village has a couple of good shops (with limited opening hours) and two nice pubs. Would stay again.

Prior to our visit I was worrying about the beds comfort due to previous reviews, that was a waste of worry as there was no problems with the beds we a family of 6 had no issues at all. The garden was lovely, the bath is brilliantly deep. There is a tall step into the kitchen and not really an easy to grab rail on the so for anyone with slight issuRead morees with their legs this maybe am issue. But all in all a lovely place to stay and visit Hide
