With golden sands right outside and the historical town of Rye 3 miles away, this fabulous beachside home in Camber makes a fantastic choice for families and their furry companions. Rye itself is a treat to explore, with cobbled streets, historic buildings and dog-friendly spots to discover. With space for six human and two canine guests, it’s just right for a family trip or a coastal holiday with friends.
On arrival, step into the sociable kitchen-diner, which has a large dining table and French doors onto the patio – perfect for sunny breakfasts in mild weather. There’s also a convenient ground-floor shower room to rinse off any sandy toes and paws. Upstairs, the first-floor lounge is decorated in charming yellow and grey for a cheerful appearance. It has comfortable seating, a Smart TV and doors leading out to a south-facing balcony. This floor also has a lovely king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room. On the top floor is a family bathroom and two more charming bedrooms: a flexible zip-and-link king (can be twin on request) with an additional trundle bed for a child, plus a twin room. (Please note: some areas on this floor have limited head height). Outside, the large enclosed garden is brilliant for letting dogs stretch their legs while you fire up the BBQ or sip a drink on the patio. There’s private parking for two cars.
Camber’s famous 3-mile beach, right outside your door, is a big hit with dogs – the wide stretch and rolling dunes are ideal for sniffing, zooming and tail-waggingly good walks (please note, some sections are dog-free zones in the summer). In peak season, there are lifeguards on duty to keep humans safe. Rye is a must-see, packed with pet-friendly pubs and cafes. Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is wonderful for on-lead adventures through wetlands and coastal habitats, hopefully spotting wildlife along the way.
