Set along the village high street, this delightful four-storey cottage is an idyllic coastal hideaway for a small family or group of friends bringing a dog along. With easy access to some of North Yorkshire’s most iconic natural and urban landmarks, it is ideal for walkers, cyclists, runners and nature lovers keen to explore its Heritage Coast. Finished to a high standard, with an array of original features throughout, the cottage comes with spacious living areas and a patio garden to the rear.

Enjoy chatting in one of two lounges on the ground floor, with the warmth of a wood burner in one of them for company on colder evenings. Down in the basement, watch from the dining room table as culinary treats are conjured by the stove, with plenty of room for the dog to circle. The alluring aromas from the kitchen are sure to drift all the way up to the double bedroom on the first floor, which sits across from a family shower room and landing area with a daybed - an ideal spot for some quiet time with a book or podcast. The double bedroom on the second floor has en-suite facilities. A patio area at the rear of the property will be a setting for many a debrief after a busy day.

The picturesque village of Staithes is home to a dog-friendly beach (within 200 metres), along with a range of eateries and hostelries in and around the harbour that welcome canine custom. Whitby (10 miles) is home to a wealth of attractions, including its two piers, the abbey ruins and an array of shops across its winding cobblestone streets. The views of the North York Moors on the drive into Staithes will inspire and captivate.

Great location and loads of space. Nice to have the garden area. Kitchen well stocked with all the equipment you could need. Pubs and sea close by and buses easy to get to for travel.

Spacious 4 storey property with a multitude of rooms to relax in and a nice outdoor sport. It was only a short walk from the beach which was perfect for our dog.

Thornwick cottage was gorgeous. I havent stayed in a. Holiday cottage for a long time, and was delighted with this. The standard of decor and furnishings was very high and it was spotlessly clean. Would love to go back sometime.
