Situated near the beautiful Bamburgh Castle, with stunning views of the Farne Islands, this charming coastal cottage is the ideal base for a couple or small family with their four-legged companion, complete with a wrap-around garden for frolics with Fido.
Upon entering this cosy cottage, leave your boots and leads in the porch and make your way into the light and airy lounge/diner. With lovely views from the dual-aspect windows over the nearby dunes, this is a wonderful space for relaxation after a day of exploring. The lounge area features a wood burner, TV, and comfortable seating on which to unwind while your pup settles in at your feet. The sociable dining area looks out onto the garden, and the kitchen is fully equipped with ample workspace for preparing meals. Off the hallway, you’ll find two of the bedrooms – a super-king with a private dressing room and garden access alongside a cosy twin room. A single bedroom is accessed through the lounge and offers a comfortable chair and a view of Bamburgh Castle. The family shower room rounds off the accommodation. Outside, the generous lawned garden provides plenty of space for your canine companion to run around, and there's garden furniture for you to relax and enjoy the views. Fire up the charcoal BBQ for a delicious meal, and you’ll also find an outside tap for cleaning off sandy paws. A storage shed for beach equipment, and off-road parking for two cars completes the package.
With the sand dunes right outside your door, it’s just a short stroll to the wide, sandy beach for tail-wagging walks and fun-filled days by the sea. Enjoy the spectacular views of Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle, then head into the village to explore its independent shops, dog-friendly pubs, restaurants, and tea rooms. History hounds on the lead will enjoy visiting the Bamburgh Castle, while nature lovers can explore Budle Bay (2.5 miles), known for its wildlife and birdwatching opportunities (pups on the lead during the summer months). For an aquatic adventure, take a boat tour from Seahouses (3 miles) to the Farne Islands, or enjoy rock pooling at pet-positive Beadnell Bay (5.5 miles).
