If you can tear yourself away from your beachfront, dog-walkers can stretch their legs on the Lon Eifion Trail (8.5 miles), a peaceful countryside route ideal for a relaxed stroll with your four-legged friend. For more adventurous paws, Snowdonia National Park (5 miles) offers epic trails and mountain hikes with breathtaking views. A trip to Garn Fawr (7 miles) provides an afternoon of rambling over a rocky volcanic outcrop with fascinating historical artefacts. The location of the cottage is fantastic. It was wonderful to be so close to the shore, to watch the sun go down over the sea and wander along the coastal path. The other visitors were friendly and there was a lovely sense of community. We saw dolphins in the bay the first morning which was the icing on the cake.
