I am lost for words to say how lovely this cottage is. It is quiet, homely, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of, the hosts are approachable and generous to a fault. The welcome pack was just outstanding.

This has to be the best cottage we have stayed in by far. The attention to detail in every room was perfect. The welcome pack was 2nd to none. Waking up to the beautiful bird song or the gentle moo from the cows in the field, we loved it, our doggies loved it. We really didnt want to leave

We had a very relaxing week staying at Woodpecker View this month. We appreciated the many local provisions waiting for us on arrival which were very welcome after a long day travelling, especially the delicious home made brownies. The cottage is at the end of a 2 mile single track road so a bit out of the way with no passing traffic which suiteRead mored us but didnt feel at all isolated as the owners Jezz and Ginny live next door. The cottage is very well equipped and the owners have clearly thought a lot about what guests would want and provided everything needed. Very comfortable furnishings and the separate dressing room upstairs we found very useful. Lovely big shower too which is always a bonus. Plenty of outside sunny garden space too with tables and chairs to have breakfast or a coffee. It was nice to be able to say hello to the highland cattle and the pigs on the farm, and the flock of insane pheasants running about outside were a daily joy! Would have no hesitation recommending Woodpecker View. We love this part of Yorkshire and would happily stay here again in future. Hide
