Explore southwest Wales during your getaway in this wooden-clad hideaway for a couple plus two canine companions. With a cosy open-plan layout, coastal-themed decor and outdoor space, there’s everything you need for a relaxing and romantic break. While based in the Welsh countryside, you’ll be close to Cardigan Bay, New Quay and plenty of historical landmarks to sniff out.
Step inside and find yourself inside the quirky lounge/kitchen/diner with tones of blue, pink and green throughout the decor. To one side is a Welsh dresser-style kitchen unit with crockery-filled shelves and patterned splash-back tiles. There is a hob and a sink plus a cupboard concealing a mini oven and fridge. Beside the sofa is a foldaway wooden dining table for two. Around the wooden-slatted room divider is a small double bedroom area. Completing the interior is a narrow, blue-and-white shower room with a walk-in rainfall shower. Outside is a private seating area and on-site parking for one car.
Start your holiday by looking around the property grounds containing a paddock and an orchard. While staying in the village of Talgarreg you could take your four-legged friends to the local dog-friendly pub (within 0.5 miles). Step back in time with a trip to the impressive ruins of Newcastle Emlyn Castle (12.5 miles) or the 13th-century National Trust Cilgerran Castle (19 miles). To indulge in freshly caught seafood, check out the restaurants in New Quay (7 miles). You could also hop on a boat from New Quay Harbour for wildlife watching from the water. Pack a towel or two and head to the nearby canine-welcoming sandy shores of Aberporth Beach (13.5 miles) and Penbryn Beach (10.5 miles).
