Primed for dogs who adore the great outdoors, this handsome stone cottage is located in a quiet Yorkshire hamlet, with the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland just a tennis ball’s throw away. Surrounded by open fields, dry stone walls, and incredible scenery, this pet-friendly retreat invites you to experience true peace and quiet with walkies in every direction. The property accommodates a total of five guests and two pups, making it perfect for smaller packs of families or friends. It offers a large, enclosed garden for doggos to run around in and cosy interiors for snuggling up when it’s colder outside.
Step inside to hang leads and coats in the entranceway. Let Fido and Rover trot into the cottage’s lounge, a welcoming space with comfortable seating set opposite a Smart TV. Let toes and paws warm up by the flames after a long day battling the Yorkshire elements. Next door, the kitchen/diner is the social hub of the house, and you’ve also got a separate dining room for more formal sit-down dinners. Discover a double bedroom with an en-suite downstairs, before moving up to find a double, a single, and a family bathroom on the first floor. Outside, dogs will adore the large, enclosed garden with plenty of space to run around. You’ll also find a parking space, ideal for adventures further afield.
Take a walk along the River Ribble to reach Settle (3.5 miles), a quintessentially Dales town nestled amongst incredible Yorkshire landscapes. Let Rover lead the way on a waterfall trail out of town, hitting Stainforth Force (6 miles), Scaleber Force (5 miles), and Catrigg Force (6.5 miles), or take a longer hike up the towering fell of Pen-y-Ghent (10.5 miles). Pups who prefer to put their paws up will adore a train ride on the Settle-to-Carlisle railway, a heritage route that showcases the beauty of the local area.
