Tucked away in a peaceful pocket of the Ribble Valley, this secluded lodge is the perfect romantic retreat for outdoorsy couples and their faithful four-pawed sidekicks. With a private hot tub, scenic walks right from the doorstep, and easy access to the Forest of Bowland, it’s a dream destination for anyone who loves long rambles with their waggy-tailed companion followed by cosy evenings by the fire.

Nestled within the owner’s grounds, step inside to find the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner tucked beneath gorgeous wooden beams. Whether you're rustling up a hearty breakfast while your waggy pal snoozes nearby or sinking into the sofa for an evening of films, you'll feel right at home. A wood burner keeps things toasty on cooler evenings, while the Smart TV awaits for movie nights. For practicalities, there’s a handy utility room, ideal for cleaning off muddy paws after a day’s exploring. The king-size bedroom is calm and inviting, with an extra TV for lazy mornings. A modern shower room completes the indoor space. Outside, the enclosed garden is a real highlight for four-pawed guests to sniff and play. The wood-fired hot tub sits beneath a covered veranda, meaning you can enjoy a soak whatever the weather. Fire up the pizza oven or BBQ for al fresco feasts, then wander down through the woodland to the river for a paddle. Private parking is available for one car.

The lodge sits on the edge of Ribchester, a charming village steeped in Roman history, with the River Ribble meandering through it. There's a great selection of country pubs, many of which welcome well-behaved pets, so you can refuel with a pint and a bowl of water after a walk. From the village, you'll find circular routes for a stroll, or delve deeper into the Forest of Bowland (2 miles). Hike to the top of Longridge Fell (5 miles) or Parlick (8.5 miles) to soak up the views or follow in the footsteps of J.R.R. Tolkien on the famous Tolkien Trail (4 miles). Wonderful dog-friendly log cabin retreat in Ribchester We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful log cabin in Ribchester. The hot tub was a real highlight and perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the area. We also loved thRead moree outdoor pizza oven, which made for a great evening and added something extra special to our stay. The property is very dog friendly, with a large, secure outdoor space where our dog could safely run around and play. The beautifully maintained grounds and mature trees create a private and relaxing setting, making it ideal for both guests and their four-legged companions. Most importantly, the owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made sure we had everything we needed. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Ribchester area. its a wonderful place to stay. Hide

What a truly wonderful place. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and more. Michelle has really thought of everything. We have seen deer, squirrels and the wonderful birds who serenade you in the morning and night. The weather was lovely and the cozy fire at night felt magical. The hot tub is a real added bonus. Never used a wood firedRead more tub before but it was really easy, quick to heat and the water was warm the day after. Having travelled all over the UK to cottages we have realised we dont need to travel too far to find a little piece of heaven. Thank you for a wonderful day. Upon arrival we were impressed by both the cabin and our host's attention to detail. We quickly settled in. No stone had been left unturned and we immediately felt welcome. Brilliant cabin and brilliant location! The actual cabin was perfect, comfy bed, great amenities and a fab sofa to snuggle up on. The extras made it awesome. The woodfire pizza oven was great fun, and even as 2 adults we thoroughly enjoyed making our own pizzas and watching them cook so quick! The hot tub was a pleasure too, a bit of work getting iRead moret going but worth it when relaxing after a day's adventure. The garden was perfect for out GSD who is reactive to everything as there is nothing going past at all! There were also some lovely bits to sit, even if the rain appeared. I will definitely return! We have just spent a wonderful 9 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. The property itself is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. They were even kind enough to bring us some cake after they had attended a local food festival! If you love animals as much as we do, you're in luck. The sound of the birds and running river alongside the cabin is so soothing, and if you're lucky you'll even spot wild deer in the garden (we saw them twice during our stay). Michelle and Dave have 2 pet goats in a neighbouring field who are super friendly so my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed popping in to see them every day! As much time as we spent relaxing in the property itself, it's also a great base for exploring the local area and neighbouring villages and we loved that there were lots of dog friendly places to visit nearby. We would come again and highly recommend the property for anyone looking for a great place to relax and unwind. Hide
