Perched right on the shores of Loch Lochy, this stunning Highland retreat offers a spectacular setting for you and your four-legged adventurers to enjoy. With a roaring wood burner, breathtaking views over the Great Glen and direct access to the water, this is the perfect spot for outdoor-loving guests and their waggy-tailed sidekicks to experience the very best of the Scottish Highlands.
This spacious, modern home has been designed to make the most of its unbeatable location, with every room offering gorgeous views. When the weather turns chilly, the wood burner adds a cosy touch for curling up with your sleepy pup after a day of exploring. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner creates a wonderfully sociable space with mood lighting and a Sonos sound system (complete with Spotify, controlled by the house iPad). The high-spec kitchen has everything you'll need to whip up family feasts, and there’s also a handy utility room, a home office space that doubles as a yoga room, and a convenient cloakroom. Head upstairs to find three beautifully styled king-size bedrooms, each with its own en-suite for giving everyone their own private space to retreat to at the end of a busy day. Outside, the expansive decked area boasts corner seating, an infrared heater, and an electric awning to enjoy the views whatever the weather. Steep steps with a handrail lead down to your very own private shingle beach. Private parking for three cars is provided.
Tackle the trails around Ben Nevis (18 miles) or take a more leisurely cruise along the legendary Loch Ness (15 miles), where your nosey pup can sniff out the secrets of the deep. During the winter, the surrounding peaks are dusted with snow, and you'll find skiing at Anoach Mor (17 miles). For a dose of nostalgia, hop aboard the Jacobite Steam Train, famously featured as the Hogwarts Express, and soak up the scenery with Rover by your side. When it's time to refuel, head into Fort William (9 miles) for a hearty meal at one of its many dog-friendly pubs and cafes.
