This rural retreat enjoys a peaceful setting amongst the Norfolk countryside, just outside the village of Postwick. The spacious, five-bedroom property welcomes ten guests and two furry companions, making it the perfect holiday home for large family get-togethers and holidays with friends. You’ll find some gorgeous walks to explore with the hounds directly from your front door, or head to the coast (17 miles) to enjoy the sandy beaches and clifftop paths.

The country home is reached via a long, private driveway. Inside, the bright and inviting retreat boasts vast living areas with gorgeous wooden floors, characterful beams, and exposed brickwork. The decor is contemporary and the large windows frame magnificent views across open fields. The social hub of the house is an impressive lounge/diner, where you’ll find a choice of seating areas, a dining table, and a Smart TV for enjoying movie nights together. Beyond the magnificent, redbrick chimney is a tucked-away snug area which makes a good spot for Rover and Fido to set up camp. In summer months, open the French doors so they can potter in and out to the garden, or in winter create a cosy dozing spot for them in front of the wood burner. A separate, stylish kitchen has everything needed to cater for a large group. When day turns to night, head along the hallway to one of the five relaxing bedrooms. The king-size bedroom has its own, en-suite bathroom, and there is also a refreshing family shower room. From the hallway, you can access the annexe accommodation, which has a studio-style layout comprising a king-size bed, en-suite shower room, and kitchenette. Outside, a vast garden envelops the property, with plenty of space for your waggy-tailed friends to burn off steam. On a summer’s evening, fire up the BBQ and share al fresco meals on the raised terrace as you admire the far-reaching views. From here, steps lead down to an enclosed lawn and wildflower meadow, where children and dogs can play. The property has private parking for five cars, with additional parking available nearby.

The surrounding area is a haven for walkers and four-pawed explorers. From the village, you’ll find a multitude of quiet country lanes, woodland trails, and riverside paths to investigate with the hounds. You’ll also be within easy reach of long-distance Norfolk trails such as the Wherryman’s Way and Norfolk Coast Path. The property is perfectly placed for day trips to the Norfolk Broads, with the picturesque Broads village of Brundall just 3.5 miles away. For a day at the seaside, journey to the paw-friendly golden sands of Caister-on-Sea, 17 miles from the property.

recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in the Norfolk Broads. The location is absolutely incredible the photos really dont do it justice. The outside space was excellent too, with a great barbecue area and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There were also lots of thoughtful touches from the hosts, including a lovely welcome hamper and the opportunity for the children to visit the alpacas, which they absolutely loved. A really special place to stay wed definitely recommend it. Hide

This was a really memorable holiday in a delightful spacious and comfortable cottage with stunning grounds to explore and enjoy. We were celebrating a 70th birthday with immediate family and extended at at bigger party at Sainsburys Centre with a twin. The location was perfect. Near Norwich and main routes but in quiet countryside. From 70 year oldRead mores to the babies 1 year and 9 months and everything in between, we all had enjoyable time at the property itself and nearby broads and seaside. The time went too quickly to do all we could have. Anna and Steve were fantastic hosts and responded quickly to any queries. Anna had prepared an Easter and birthday welcome for our arrival. Wonderful. Many thanks. Booking was very easy, with timely reminders and clear instructions all the way through. Hide

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful spot overlooking both farm land and a lovely meadow that you have exclusive use of during your stay. We were greeted with a lovely welcome hamper containing local produce, and throughout our stay the owner Anna was very welcoming and happy to help. Both the garden and the meadow are well fenced and neither our dog or children could escape! The cottage was clean, spacious and warm (we went in March and had a few chilly days), we were greeted with a lovely welcome back with local produce too. I would thoroughly recommend Wild Meadow Cottage - we loved it and will be back! Hide

A superb holiday cottage, in a beautiful location. The cottage was very well appointed and all the fixtures and fittings were good quality. What a wonderful place to stay. From the moment you pull up at the door, to the beautiful interior, inside, you immediately feel at home. Is was lovely waking up to the beautiful views and if you fancied a day relaxing in the cottage it's a great place to relax or go for a walk around the surrounding area. We hope to go back and stay in the future. We recommend a boat ride on the Norfolk Broads. We also had a lovely Sunday lunch in The Bird in the Hand in Wreningham. Worth a visit and only a 20 minute drive. The owners were very good at communicating with you and had lots of helpful information on the surrounding area.
