Rest and recharge on a relaxing break in the idyllic New Forest village of Brockenhurst. Sleeping five guests and two pups, the spacious retreat makes a great base for families and friends who love getting out and about in nature. The village is the starting point for many scenic walks, including along the picturesque Lymington River. You’ll be perfectly placed to visit some of the New Forest’s top, paw-friendly attractions, such as Buckler’s Hard and Exbury Gardens (both within 10 miles).
After crossing the cattle grid, enter the welcoming, semi-detached holiday home. Inside, leave muddy boots in the hallway, before heading into the inviting kitchen/diner. Here, you’ll find all the equipment you need to cater for the group, and a dining table for sharing mealtimes together after a day of adventure. With cosy underfloor heating, this is a good place to set up the dog beds. In the evenings, unwind in the lounge, where sumptuous seating is set around a Smart TV. On chilly nights fire up the wood burner, or in summer throw open the French doors to let Rover and Fido potter in and out to the garden. The property is stocked with books, games, toys, and DVDs to keep everyone entertained. A handy shower room completes the ground floor. When it’s time for bed, head upstairs to discover three tastefully decorated bedrooms. A family bathroom rounds off the accommodation. Outside, soak up the sunshine in the enclosed garden. There’s a large lawn where the hounds can play, as well as a patio with furniture for al fresco dining in summer months. The property has private parking for three cars.
Brockenhurst is a traditional New Forest village, where ponies and cows are often spotted roaming down the high street! The village has a good range of independent shops, along with paw-friendly pubs and tearooms. Enjoy river walks from the village, or amble down to the local ‘beach’ for a picnic or to let the pups paddle in the water. Exbury Gardens (10 miles) makes a fantastic doggy day out, with waggy-tailed visitors even welcome on the steam train. Alternatively, hop on the ferry at Lymington (5 miles) to spend a day on the Isle of Wight.
