Discover hound dog heaven when you arrive at this Pembrokeshire cottage which comes with 4 acres of garden, meadow and woodland to explore. Sleeping seven guests, the four-bedroom retreat at Walton West, 0.5 miles from Little Haven, was originally a schoolhouse and now offers superb holiday accommodation with countryside and sea views as well as a games room for guests to enjoy. It is just 0.5 miles from Little Haven’s permanently dog-friendly beach, which pups will adore.

Enter the period retreat via the conservatory to the side. Tear yourselves away from the views towards St Brides Bay and follow your furry friend up three steps into the lounge. This large area, which was once the school room, has plenty of space for people and pets to congregate and play games or watch the Smart TV. Take your pet with you into the games room or the open-plan lounge/diner, which adjoins the kitchen. You will find the kitchen encompasses everything needed to help the chefs of the party prepare hearty feasts. This is also the perfect place to feed your four-pawed pal. A family room, with a double bed and a single, plus an en-suite bathroom, are also downstairs, together with a double bedroom. A king-size and a single bedroom are located on the first floor. The family bathroom is also up here. Relax together out in the courtyard on fine days. Take your eager companion off to roam the beautiful grounds with you as often as he wishes. Supervise pup and any children near the pond as it is unfenced. There is parking available for six cars.

Walk just over 0.5 miles to Broad Haven Beach, which has sections where pups can leave paw prints on the sand all year around. Hop on and follow the scenic Pembrokeshire Coast Path in any direction for impressive views.

We enjoyed an excellent stay at The Old School House. The house was very comfortable and spacious with the best equipped kitchen we have ever come across in a holiday home. Our boys love the pool table and fire pit. We enjoyed trips out to all the local areas - Little Haven (great bacon butties), Broad Haven (great fish & chips), Haverfordwest (greRead moreat shops and a lovely old fashioned cinema showing the latest films) and Tenby / Saundersfoot (beautiful beaches and old town). Also enjoyed the coastal walks and fascinating geology on the beach at Marloe Sands. We also loved our family breakfasts / meals around the large dining table in the conservatory looking out over the sea, a great holiday! :) Hide

Lovely, spacious, quirky property. It had everything we needed for a fun midweek break with family. The view of the bay from the conservatory was stunning.

Quirky, characterful cottage, with plenty of room for a big family get together. Plenty of kitchen equipment, toys and games. We enjoyed having the use of the pool table. Fifteen minute walk to both Little Haven and Broad Haven beaches. (Longer walk back due to steep hill!). Good base for visiting Pembrokeshire. Lovely view of the bay from the diniRead moreng room table in the conservatory. Hide
