Outdoor adventure knows no bounds in this fantastic corner of South Wales – a marvellous place to escape to with man’s best friend by your side. This fabulous property has been thoughtfully designed with pets and their owners in mind, featuring a social open-plan layout, traditional design elements, and ample outdoor space to sit and soak up the sun while Rover plays. Accommodating four guests and one four-legged friend, the property is the perfect base for those seeking endless walkies, long, rewarding hikes, and ample sightseeing opportunities in Monmouthshire and the wider Brecon Beacons National Park.
Bring your best friend along to this charming stone cottage, part of a restored group of cottages on the grounds of Goytre Hall. Inside, you’ll find an open-plan layout on the ground floor – the perfect space to put feet (and paws) up for a relaxing morning or restful night. While there’s plenty of room for your pup to settle in with their bed and blanket, we’re sure you’ll find your dog snoozing by the warmth of the wood burner. Leave your sleeping pup here as you head upstairs to discover two bedrooms. One is a king-size, the other a double, both offering en-suite bathrooms. Outside, an enclosed garden space invites you to sit and enjoy a drink, while a larger, shared dog paddock provides space for exercising pets.
Step outside and explore the woodlands and orchards on-site before joining waymarked footpaths that lead you into the heart of the countryside. Challenge yourselves to walk a section of the long, rewarding Offa’s Dyke Path (10 miles), allowing Fido to leave no stick unfetched along this beautiful trail. You can also embark on a longer walk along the banks of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal from Cwmbran (9.5 miles), letting the waterway guide you effortlessly through towns and rural areas in the mighty Brecon Beacons.
