Kirkcudbright is a picturesque town with pastel-coloured houses and historic buildings. Known as ‘The Artists’ Town’, it boasts a fabulous array of galleries and studios showcasing local talent. You and your furry chums can also follow a fascinating Arts and Crafts Trail around the town. The bustling high street has a great range of independent shops, and there’s also a popular farmers’ market every month. There are some wonderful coastal walks in the local area, including a rugged trail around St Mary’s Isle, which juts out into Kirkcudbright Bay.
