This charming coastal cottage is in the Lancashire town of Morecambe. The property welcomes four guests and one furry chum, and suits both couples and small families seeking a traditional seaside getaway. The cottage is just 500 metres from the paw-friendly sandy beach, as well as the town’s fantastic array of independent shops and eateries. You’ll also be close to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, making it a great base for keen walkers.
The end-terrace cottage is decorated in a contemporary style, with a cool-toned colour scheme, plush fabrics, and gorgeous accessories and artwork. Leave sandy shoes and dog leads in the porch, before moving through to the cosy lounge/diner. Unwind in here after a busy day, watching a movie on the Smart TV with Rover curled up at your feet. Nestled in one corner is a wooden dining table for enjoying mealtimes as a group. From here, head into the stylish kitchen, which features a chic breakfast bar for informal dining and all the equipment needed for a self-catering holiday. With hard floors and direct access to the outside space, the kitchen is a good place to set up the dog bed. Upstairs, discover two coastal-themed bedrooms – a king-size and double – along with the family shower room. Outside, the patio area provides a secluded spot to sip a morning coffee as you plan the day’s activities. A parking permit is provided for one car.
Head down to the beach to share a picnic on the sand and admire the stunning views of the Lakeland Fells. Alternatively, let the woofer lead the way on a relaxing stroll along the promenade, being sure to check out the iconic Eric Morecambe statue. The Forest of Bowland – a haven for walkers – is just 7 miles away.
