A few steps down lead to the elegant bathroom and access to a small courtyard. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the first two bedrooms: a sweet bunk bedroom for younger guests which also has a feature fireplace, and a charming double room. The final bedroom – another delightful double – is on the second floor, reached via a hidden door and featuring a low-sloping ceiling with skylights overlooking Whitby. Outside, a small terrace provides a lovely spot for enjoying a morning coffee. On-street parking is available on a first-come first-serve basis.
Whitby has some fantastic pet-friendly beaches (with some seasonal restrictions), including Saltwick Bay (2.5 miles) which welcomes dogs all year round. Your pooch can join you on a boat trip along the River Esk or on a tranquil stroll along the Cleveland Way. The 199 Steps lead up to the remarkable ruins of Whitby Abbey, or you can head inland to explore the North York Moors.
