Let your four-pawed pal answer the call of the sea with a stay by the twinkling turquoise waters and white sand beaches of Cornwall’s Looe. This canine-compatible abode is a characterful cottage on the east side of town, just 150 metres from the beach and within effortless reach of South Cornwall’s many walkies opportunities. Four guests and one furry friend are invited to put feet (and paws) up in this cosy, three-storey cottage, enjoying some restorative downtime between long days of walking and sightseeing.
Fresh white walls and nautically inspired interiors enhance the fisherman’s cottage charm of this Cornish retreat. Step inside to find a welcoming lounge/diner, furnished with snug sofas, plump cushions and doggy blankets for Fido to curl up on. Next door, the kitchen is compact but well equipped, offering all you’ll need to feed hungry mouths. Upstairs, a double bedroom and a shower room await on the first floor, with a delightful bunk room tucked up another flight of stairs. While this property doesn’t offer outdoor space, the wonders of Cornwall’s coast and countryside are just a tennis ball’s throw from your doorstep. Parking is on-street or in surrounding car parks, and subject to availability.
Although Looe Beach (150 metres) has a dog ban in place, it’s still well worth a stroll along its perimeter to soak up the spectacular sea views. Just 1 mile away, Plaidy Beach is pet-friendly all year round and can be reached via a scenic coastal walk – a perfect outing with man’s best friend by your side. For a more relaxed walking route nearby, head to Seaton Valley Country Park (3.5 miles) and follow gentle footpaths through the pretty landscape. In the opposite direction, the South West Coast Path leads you along clifftop trails to the picturesque harbour village of Polperro (5 miles).
