Neutral tones, wooden furnishings and leather sofas fill the lounge area which sits in front of a wooden dining table with four chairs. Continue into the ‘U’-shaped farmhouse-style kitchen with wooden countertops and patterned tiles. Also on the ground floor is a utility room and a bathroom. Climb the stairs to reach two bedrooms in the eaves of the house – a king-size and a double. Outside is an enclosed, split-level garden with furniture and a lawn area. There’s also on-street parking for one car.
While staying in the village of Ponsworthy you’ll be surrounded by walking trails – with the River Dart, Combestone Tor and Dr Blackalls Drive within 5 miles. Head to Poundsgate (1.5 miles) for a pub meal or Buckfastleigh (7 miles) has a handful of independent eateries. Step back in time at the South Devon Railway – Staverton Station (11 miles) to see vintage steam trains. Just 26 miles away are the golden sandy shores of the dog-friendly Strete Sands which is in the South Devon National Landscape.
