Bursting with tail-wagging character, this idyllic family-friendly cottage in Reedham is the perfect base for exploring Norfolk’s beautiful coastline and countryside that your four-legged friends will go mutts for.
Hang up the leash in the entrance porch and follow the warmth of the two roaring wood burners into the open-plan lounge/diner to unwind. Your four-pawed pal won’t be able to resist dozing beside the inglenook fireplace as you unwind and dine beneath the rustic ceiling beams. Lead the way into the country-style kitchen to whip up some tasty treats. When it’s time to pause, enjoy a long soak in the bath in the charming family bathroom before retiring to the sumptuous twin bedroom on the ground floor, or the double or king-size bedroom upstairs which both feature beautifully muted tones that set a truly calming ambience. Outside, the enclosed cottage-style garden featuring a pretty patio and tiered landscape is the perfect spot for playful pups to let off some steam before bedtime. There is private parking for six cars.
The pretty village of Reedham is nestled along the northern bank of the River Yare, home to a quaint quay which runs alongside the river, and one of the last remaining railway swing bridges and chain ferries in the country for river crossings at either end of the village. From your doorstep, venture down to the river to enjoy seasonal fishing (with a valid license), leaving no stick unfetched by taking a long walk beside the water's edge. Sail the beautiful waterways of the Norfolk Broads by hiring a boat from nearby Wroxham (16 miles) or treat your pup to an afternoon of getting their paws sandy at Hemsby Beach, 18 miles away (seasonal restrictions apply).
